We run weekend seminars or longer camps with internationally recognized instructors.
In addition, our dojo presents shorter seminars, which we call workshops, about once a month. Workshops are taught by our chief instructor, his assistants, or by visiting Sensei.
These sessions will have an additional fee. You are encouraged to attend and participate in the organization and execution of as many seminars, camps and workshops as you can. Basic training can be significantly enhanced by such participation.
You are also encouraged to attend classes and seminars sponsored elsewhere -- especially seminars and camps with Saotome Sensei and Ikeda Sensei and their students. You may note any day of training elsewhere in the attendance roster. At least once a quarter we will do a demonstration of this beautiful art for the public: all students, regardless of experience, are welcome to participate.
"Instructors can impart only a fraction of the teaching. It is through your own devoted practice that the mysteries of the Art of Peace can be brought to life."
There are other local ASU dojos: Glendale Aikikai , under Mark Adachi
Sensei, has classes MTh evenings and Sa mornings and Jiai Aikido
in San Diego has
classes through the week. We also maintain a friendly relationship with many
other dojo. Many dojo can be found across the country and world while
traveling. You are encouraged to train at these and other dojo at your
convenience. (Please be prepared to pay the mat fee when visiting another dojo.)
