Next Tai Chi Class:  Tuesdays, October 7 through December 23, 6:30-7:30 pm

New Kids' Aikido Class! Advanced Aikido for older kids: by invitation of the Children's Program director. Mondays, 5-6 pm

Next Dojo Holiday: November 17 (day after seminar)

All-Dojo Testing: Is now being moved to Friday evenings! We will test Children starting at 6 p.m. and adults right after. All students and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Pot-Luck follows. Next Date:  Friday, January TBA @ 6 p.m.

 

Upcoming Aikido Seminars at Redlands

Friday November 14 through Sunday, November 16, 2008 with Wendy Whited Sensei, 6th Dan, Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and Chief Instructor of Inaka Dojo, Beecher Illinois. Whited Sensei is a senior student of Saotome Sensei (see below) and is an elementary school principal and 8th grade teacher with very well-behaved students. She runs a fun, informative and deep Aikido class with very precise technique. For a flyer please click here.

Friday August 28 through Sunday, August 30, 2009 with Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, Founder and Chief Instructor, Aikido Schools of Ueshiba. Saotome Sensei was a live-in student of O Sensei, the founder of Aikido, for over 15 years. He is one of the very few great students of O Sensei still actively teaching.

Saturday November 7 through Sunday, November 8, 2009 with Kevin Choate Sensei, 6th Dan, Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and Chief Instructor of Chicago Aikikai. There will be 5 hours of training each day. Please bring a wooden training knife. Elements of conditioning and self-defense from the Russian martial art of Systema will be included.
